Judges' feedback:
1. While Elizabeth and Will were a great movie couple, they can't really be considered a "Hollywood Power Couple," as they are not actually a couple. The photos themselves are very nice, and you nailed the look, but I'm left wondering when and how their ship ran aground, and Will looks just a bit too feminine for me. I'd have liked to see more "action" in these photos as well.
2. Great picture, but this isnt really a rl power couple. Mainly characters from a movie.
3. I am not sure I see them as a power couple...a great couple yes. I think Elizabeth was nailed as far as look. I like Will but would of like to of seen less fem on him....but for being able to keep you look I think you guys did a great job. I don't see them as a power couple. I see more as a couple in a movie.
4. Styling for this power couple is on point. I love that Cat added the beard. The originality was a bit safe for me. The couple in the movie faced a lot of action battling haunting zombie pirates. Posing depicting battle with their swords on a ship at sea would have really set the scene for me. Overall good job Aprilsue and Cat!
5. Catsmeow: Watch the color of your eyes when portraying someone. Hair and Beard are very close to Will Turner’s in the movie. Changing your features such as eyes or mouth will help you bring that person to life.
April: Watch the color of your eyes when portraying someone. Do not be afraid to change your features to try and look more like the person you’re trying to portray. Your hair is good as it looks wet.
When doing a photo as a couple you needs to pose together not separately, in the photos to me it looks like your just standing close together not complimenting each other in the pose. Will and Elizabeth loved each other, smiles. Positioning in the photos could have been better.

1. While the theme was not spot on for power couple, I did very much enjoy the fight scene. You looked very much the part.. Sword scabbards could have been better positioned on the backs, A bit of a problem there with the ship getting pulled up.
2. Great use of props, portrayed the coupel wonderfully, but they are characters, not a rl power couple, there was no walk
3. not a big fan of the continuous sword fight, but the outfits and props came together
4. Amazing and creative on the posing and fighting....perfect with music. I again am not sure a power couple more then just an amazing movie coupe.
5. April: Watch how the belt and collar are edited. Watch the color of your eyes. Do not be afraid to change your face to look more like the person you’re trying to portray. Your hair is good with a wet look.
Catsmeow: The sword could be edited closer to your body, watch hair in the sword. Watch the color of your eyes. Boots are too big. Hair and Beard are very close to Will. Changing your features will help you bring that person to life.
Nice ship and fighting. Good entrance! Nice kiss at the end.

Couples Challenge Event
My partner and I came up with a great idea for our couple. I found a full perm pirate ship in the marketplace for free with firing cannons. Aprilsue found some great fighting swords with HUD and animations. So we are going to do the fight scene from the movie when Elizabeth and Will get married.
I shrunk the ship down so that it would fit on the stage. I put two pose stands on the ship so that I can move us with the ship. We are going to raise the ship up through the floor of the stage. We will then sword fight and fire cannons to the sound clip from the movie. When Captain Barbosa says, "You may kiss the bride.", we are going to dip kiss. We will then return to our pose stand and the ship will sink down through the stage.
The day has come. We are both so excited. We both arrived at the venue early and checked on the ship. Whoosh! It is still in place, but a whole lot more props have appeared under the stage over night. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the event to start. While we are waiting we cycle through our poses. I make a quick AO with a walk and pose incase they do a finale.
We are very lucky; no lag. It is quickly our turn. We TP to the ship and wait for our count down. We raise the ship, start our fight, and start firing cannons. We only shot cannons on the backside of the ship, so that we didn't block the view of the judges with the smoke. Well guess where those cannon balls flew? You got it; backstage at all the other competitor. LOL. I briefly saw a couple comments fly by but was concentrating on by sword HUD, the cannon HUD, and the hugging HUD. It was hard to hear the words "You may kiss the bride" because the announcer was reading off our outfits, but I recognized the music. I sent the hug request and got into position (it took a little bit) and then the swooping kiss. I saw a couple "awww" come across the chat. Then we got on our pose stands and the ship smoothly sank into the floor.
We were both very excited and proud of our performance. Now to wait and see if the judges liked it and if we earned enough points to be in the Top 10.

Couples Challenge
It is now time for the couples challenge. We are paired up with another model. Most of us got paired with another female since there are only a few men still in the competition. Our theme was a Hollywood Power Couples in Music, Movies, Business, TV, Radio, etc. We must be recognizable as a couple. We also get 3 minutes to do whatever it is we want to do to get our couple across to the judges. This means we can have props, interaction, animated poses, etc.
I found out I was paired with Aprilsue. I was happy about that. I was familiar with her photography; which is great. I had been in a show that she helped direct. We ran into some complications between her hours and mine. We worked it out though. We would meet each morning online from 5:00am slt to 5:30am slt. We would go over what needed to be done and divide up the tasks. We would then leave each other messages with the status of our tasks, any questions, and any complications. The last two days before the competition I would leave work early and she would stay up late so that we could practice. With this wacky system, we were able to everything come together.
The couple we chose was Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. From totally different rankings in society, this couple's paths happened to cross by coincident or by fate. Their love has been tested and tried through adventures and death. Yet, their love stayed true. We chose the battle scene with Davy Jones and his "men" from the third movie "At World's End". During this battle scene, the two are finally able to unite their love by getting married.

Trunk Challenge Results
For this challenge, I made a fatal mistake. I misread the notecard on the photo submission. I thought the submission time was midnight when it was actually noon. Because of this error, I got no points and my picture wasn't even seen. Therefore no comments.

1. Walk beautiful. Poses perfect. You chose good gown poses. considering they were no mod, you did a great job adjusting the prims in the skirt but there are a few gaps; you also need to move necklace slightly out of the back of the neck. beautiful cultural look; will allow you to fill many roles
2. gown is a lil too big around the bodice, no panties, love the colors and outfit witht he makeup, slight issue with back of necklace, walk is a lil stiff

4. Necklace partially in neck in the back, and earrings were not evenly positioned on both ears. One was too close to the neck. Very good job on posing. Walk could have had a bit more arm movement.

5. Check earring one was off a little. Not sure about the walk with that gown, looked kind of like a plane with hands out straight. Watch transitions of between posing, make posing flow into each other. Nail color off to the coloring of the dress.
6. Poses work well with this gown. Gown not an easy one to pose with, however one of the poses, makes the arm looked slightly deformed the one where she held her arms out, on the inside. But this is the problem with the pose, but just something to watch for the future. Styling very good. Tiny, tiny, tiny on the necklace. Most people would not notice this though unless they were looking to be critical. She looked fierce.
7. Nice Nice job honey. The prims were to perfection and made Rainbow of glint very happy. I loved the hair and the poses be careful on such a big walk pose you can do one not so big but great job.

I will admit after hearing from the MMI staff that I got my 12am and 12pm mixed, I cried. I am not a quitter, but at that moments I didn't even want to do the Trunk Challenge Walk. But before I could quit, they announced the pairing for the Couples Challenge. So, I dried my eyes and went to work on finding my 27 poses for each of the two outfits for the Walk. I was not going to be the person who going to keep my partner from advancing to the top 10. I was really glad I did do the Trunk Challenge Walk. I actually got some good scores and comments.

The Trunk Challenge
Well, it is time for the Trunk Challenge. With this challenge each model is given a trunk of clothing and jewelry. The models are to make two ensembles with the contents of the trunk. We can add accessories as long as there is nothing like it in the trunk.
I thought there would be two or three outfits and jewelry sets. Boy, was I wrong. It took me over 2 hours to unpack everything. Prism and Glint were extremely generous with a wide variety.
So, how do you pick from all that was in the trunk. What I did was look at each item as I opened it. If the item really caught my attention, I wrote the name of the outfit down. At the end, I had two gowns, one pant outfit, and one skirt outfit.
The gown I selected out of the two was the Julianne gown by Prism. I just loved the contrasting colors, the sleek fit with flowing back skirts. To tie my pieces together, I used the circles in the skirt. In the trunk was a beautiful jewelry set by Glint; Large Gem Vintage Beaded Necklace, Bracelet, and Earrings. The Glint set was black metal with diamonds and a large round red ruby. The hair I chose was Twisted Sister in onyx by House of Beningborough because of its circular shape. The shoes I chose were the Minerva Sandal by Hucci because the back of the shoe had the same shape as the back skirts of the dress. I added a small red bow at the base of the hair circle to soften the transition to the hair and to give an even vertical appearance of red.

My second outfit is a combination of the skirt set and pant set that caught my eye. I just fell in love with the jacket from the Georgia Pant Set in black by Prism. This short waisted 3/4 sleeve jacket has a wonderful black and white baroque style pattern. I added the jacket to the skirt I loved from the Giulia skirt set from Prism. This black leather high-waisted skirt has a parallel row of gold buttons. I ran into one small problem. The shirt from the Georgia set poked through the skirt half way down. I worked with changing sizes, but nothing worked. Luckily, the Georgia jacket has two options; with top and with out top. So, I removed the top and found another top in the trunk; Leah Tank Top - News set by Prism. Because of the prominent gold button on the skirt, I went with gold jewelry. I chose the lovely Gold Link Opal and Pearl necklace and gold bangles by Glint. I finished off the outfit with a pair of black pumps, black clutch, and Heth's Haute Couture new fascinator Arya, which has a very similar black and white pattern.

Pose Off Challenge Results
Model: Catsmeow17 Resident
Judges' Scores: 29 27 28 41 36 TOTAL: 161/225
CUMULATIVE TOTAL: 377/540
Judges' Feedback:
1. Needed a fiercer walk. Runway walk not suitable for this competition. There were no prims to judge, and style was far, far, far too safe. This contestant needed more edge in styling. Posing was ok, but some were safe, and one pose sent fingers through her arm.
2. second pose too much innatural
3. Posing was out of thew box(good), style a bit on the safe side
4. Cat's poses are not continuous. She has a pose that is simple and then one pose goes like crazy on the runway. But I liked it overall.
5. Very simple outfit. Very safe posing, needed to be wilder.

The Pose Off Event
The time has come for the Pose Off. I really worked hard at putting poses together for round 1 and round 2. It is really late, so I just threw every pose I had been working with into the HUD incase I made it to the third round.
I had trouble getting to the feedback meeting. I had to use my phone app. The problem was the meeting was in voice and my phone app can only see chat. So, I was getting bits and pieces from other contestants and the stage directors. I was told the theme was sports. When I TPed to the backstage area there was everything from sports to Sci-fi and some of the outfits were very elaborate. I was told to keep it simple; which is what I did.
There was some lag, but I didn't think it was bad. Some people were crashing. We all lined up and were ready to begin and the announcer crashed. She came back quickly only to crash again. Her back then took over and we were on our way. When it came to my turn, I walked out smoothly and hit my mark. Just as I started to pose, the other contestant ran right into me. I was thrown against the ropes of the ring. Normally in modeling you stay where you are even if you miss your mark. In this case, I moved back to my mark because I knew some of my poses would run through the ropes. Then I got a message. It was from one of the judges; who needed me to rebake. Then got a message to recycle poses. You never know if this a good thing or a bad thing. Then I got the message I won and to come backstage. I couldn't believe it. So, I got further then I thought.
Then came round two. I walked out smoothly and started posing. We were suppose to hold our poses for 20 seconds. She was holding hers for 10 seconds. Do I synch with her or just do my own counting. As I was debating this in my head, the announced the other contestant as the winner. I hadn't even gotten to my third pose. Oh well.
